About Cape Range National Park
Around 30 minutes drive from Exmouth is Cape Range National Park. The park is home to many gorges and canyons, including the famed Yardie Creek Gorge, with its irridescent blue waters below red limestone cliff faces.
Australia’s largest species of kangaroo, the red kangaroo, is at home there, along with many goannas, rock wallabies, euros and snakes. Overall, there are approximately 100 species of birds and over 630 distinct specifies of flowering plants.
There are some spectacular walks around Yardie Gorge, and you also take a boat tour on Yardie Creek itself.
